The Angler provides healthier meals by reducing the fat and calorie content
of fried food. This is accomplished by placing frying pans on a shallow
angle which causes grease to travel away from food as it is being cooked.
Grease Separated from One
Pound of Hamburger
Cooks recognize the problem of grease saturating food during cooking
and attempt to deal with this problem in a number of ways. Some place
the prepared food onto paper towels to absorb the grease. Others place
the prepared food in a colander or onto a metal rack and allow the grease
to drain. Others loosely cover the frying pan with a lid and pour the
grease off by tipping the pan. Some cooks even resort to rinsing the grease
off their food using hot water or refrigerating their food then removing
the grease after it has hardened.
2 oz Grease from 1 lb
of Hamburger
These are all reactive solutions that attempt
to deal with the problem after food has been cooked. They are often ineffective,
awkward and messy since the food has already been saturated with grease.
In contrast the Angler provides a proactive
solution that is effective since it separates the grease from the food
as it is being cooked. Testing has shown that the Angler will separate
at least two ounces of grease containing up to 500 calories from a single
pound of hamburger.
The Angler reduces clean-up time by virtually eliminating grease splatter.
This is accomplished by minimizing grease in the cooking area and covering
accumulated grease in the collection area.

Splatter Shield Installed |
Splatter Shield Removed |
Cooks are familiar with their stovetops being coated with grease splatter
during meal preparation. While the Angler is preventing this splatter
it is also providing the cook with access to the food being prepared since
only the small area of the pan where the grease collects is covered by
the Splatter Shield.
Splatter Screen
Contrast this with the splatter screens currently sold to address this
problem. These screens interfere with meal preparation since they cover
the entire pan and must be removed to access food. Additionally, they
are difficult to clean and frankly not very effective since when you remove
them to access the food the stovetop ends up being splattered anyway.
The Angler reduces the cost of meals. This is accomplished by allowing
inexpensive fatty grades of meat to be substituted for more expensive
leaner grades with little difference in fat content or taste.

Ground Sirloin – Cost $4.00 |
Hamburger – Cost $4.00 |
Compared to hamburger, ground sirloin has a significantly lower fat content
– but costs at least twice as much. Using the Angler you can achieve
an ideal combination – a healthy, low-fat meal at a lower cost.
This cost savings can quickly add up and pay for the cost of the Angler.
The Angler is simple to use and easy to store. This is in contrast to
many kitchen appliances found in the home that are often bulky and difficult
to operate.

Showing Even Heat Distribution
Kitchens today are cluttered with numerous countertop cooking devices
such as microwaves, food processors, convection ovens, grills and rotisseries.
Besides taking up precious kitchen counter and storage space many of these
devices have complicated controls that are confusing to operate. Frankly,
some of the owner’s manuals for these devices look like they were
written by NASA. Aren’t you tired of kitchen appliances and gadgets
that require an engineering degree to operate?
In contrast the Angler is a small, lightweight device that is simple
to use and easy to store. Plus, while the Angler is automatically performing
its task of grease removal and splatter reduction it provides even cooking
(see infrared heat view above) and is completely dishwasher safe.
